- MENJO'S - DetroitMenjo's is one of the more venerable -- some would say timeworn -- names on the area gay scene, having served as a gay gathering place for the better part of a third of a century. The club itself has been in existence since the '40s, operating as an Italian restaurant before an early-'70s changeover. Now Menjo's is evolving again; new owners Jimmy Dowdle and Jeff Hobbie have spurred a rebirth of sorts, yanking out the old, mirrored glam-era interior ("a cha-cha palace," as Dowdle puts it) and replacing it with smart new decor and a pumping sound system. The result has been a marked resurgence, making Menjo's viable competition for newer establishments such as Cobalt and the Temple to the north.
Loud, comfortable and decidedly cruisy. The largely open floor plan lends itself to continual circulation, and a relaxed, faintly collegial feel is lent by groups of regulars and staff who clearly know one another. While appearances certainly count, there's a lot less posturing and attitude than at some of the newer hangouts.

- Claddagh Pubs of College Park, Livonia, MIThe story of The Claddagh begins with an American Restaurateur taking a job across the pond with an Irish Restaurateur. The American moves with his wife to the Emerald Isle, where he lives and works for the next two years. Although they both fall for the charm and friendliness of the pubs of Ireland, they knew their place was back in the States with their families and friends. At this time the American had an idea, which was to bring the best of what Ireland had to offer to the States.

Come have a pint in what was once the Grand Trunk Railway Station. The original early 1900’s architecture and the beauty of the
Grand Trunk remain with 25 foot vaulted ceilings, brass chandeliers, exposed brick walls and hard wood floors. Forans has a varied menu of food and drinks to enjoy, including some of the great local products. Motor City Brewing Works beer, Avalon Bakery bread, meats and produce purchased at Eastern Market, and
Faygo pop, are all on the menu. Forans is the place to enjoy great food and spirits in a welcoming atmosphere.

- The Post Bar - Detroit, Ferndale, Novi, and Auburn HillsEstablished in 1978, The Post Bar has had over 28 years to eat, drink and get it right. There are four locations, each crazy and wonderfully unique in its own regard - The Post Downtown, Post Ferndale, Post Auburn Hills, and Post Novi. All of them are sure to have metro Detroit's party people screaming for more! The Post Bars won the 'Real Best of Detroit 2007- Best Bar Food' award from Real Detroit Magazine, so it's no wonder why our new menu is making such a splash! The irony is, our food is anything but your typical bar food. Maybe that's why it's the best!
