Over the last few years Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) has undergone a dramatic transformation with a new terminal; a sixth runway; a south entrance road; new parking garage; and a luxury class Westin Hotel. Improvements continue with the ongoing construction of a new terminal to replace the aging Smith Terminal. The new terminal is scheduled to open in 2008.
