0 - Southern Baptists Convention Disaster Relief - Michigan
In order to volunteer with the Michigan Disaster Relief Unit you must have first attended a training event and become certified. Feeding Unit training is offered every year the first Saturday in May. There are also other training events during the year which are sponsored by a local church or association, not only in the area of feeding, but chainsaw/mudout recovery, disaster relief chaplain and radio communications. In order to continue to maintain your certification you must participate in a disaster relief at least once every three years or attend a training event for recertification. If your church or association would like to sponsor a training event, an event will be scheduled through the director.

CRWRC Disaster Response Services and CRWRC International Relief respond quickly to suffering unleashed by both man-made and natural disasters. Paid and volunteer staff work together with local agencies to distribute food, medicine, blankets and temporary shelter, offering a practical testimony of the hope found in Jesus Christ.
