0 - Military Family Relief Fund
In the Fall of 2004, the Michigan Legislature passed, and Gov. Granholm signed into law, the Military Family Relief Fund Act. The Military Family Relief Fund provides grants to qualifying families of military members in either the Michigan National Guard or Reserves who are called to active duty as a result of the national response to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

These programs provide assistance to military members as needed. This can be during times of deployments or when the soldier/airman is unable to provide necessary information to the family.

0 - Operation Homefront
provides emergency assistance and morale to our troops, to the families they leave behind, and to wounded warriors when they return home. A nonprofit 501(c)3 founded after September 11, Operation Homefront leads more than 4,000 volunteers in 31 chapters nationwide. Since its inception, Operation Homefront has provided critical assistance to more than 45,000 military families in need.

0 - VFW's Operation Uplink
is a unique program that keeps military personnel and hospitalized veterans in touch with their families and loved ones by providing them with a free phone card. Using contributions from supporters like you, Operation Uplink purchases phone cards and distributes them to servicemen and women who are separated from those they care about.

is the Governor’s Military Family Support initiative that will lend a helping hand to families of Michigan soldiers serving overseas. This program will identify and catalogue all services available to military families in one convenient on-line location.

0 - American Legion Support Programs
On this Web site, you will find a number of avenues to show your support. Make a contribution to The American Legion’s Legacy Scholarship Fund for children of service personnel killed in action. Donate blood. Purchase a flag or yard sign to display proudly in front of your home. Post a message thanking those in uniform for their courage. Organize a prayer vigil at your church for our president and military. Volunteer at a VA hospital. How you show your appreciation for our troops is up to you.

AER is the Army's own emergency financial assistance organization and is dedicated to "Helping the Army Take Care of Its Own". AER provides commanders a valuable asset in accomplishing their basic command responsibility for the morale and welfare of soldiers.
